I want to buy two Koralia Evolution pumps to place down low in the back of the tank behind the rocks. It appears that I do not have enough flow from the back part of the tank.

What size would you recommend? My tank is a 120g 48x24x24. I am running 2 MP 40's. One on the side of the tank pointing across the tank and the other is on the back facing towards the front.

I figured that I would place them against the overflow pointing to the sides of the tank. Center overflow.

Thanks.

Try rearranging your MP40s before adding koralias. I have 2 MP40s on the back wall of my 90 and only because my tank is overgrown with sps i could possible need more flow, and this tank is packed with SPS. With them both on the back wall I think they are working togther, and I get a sweeping flow on the bottom that prevents detritus from setteling. Your's may be fighting each other since the flow is crossing.

I have a number of evolution 1400s in my frag tanks. They don't do much compared to an MP40. For instance I have 3 in a 40 breeder, and there are dead spots.

For placement reference:
