Im in need of an upgrade for my power heads.
Custom tank 48 X 30 X 20. Roughly 120 gallons, Full reef

I'm a fan of the vortechs also. There is definitely more fun things to spend money on, but for some reason I keep buying them.

I have to admit to being a huge Gyre fan.

I have a 210 with a single XF250 on one side, and get tremendous flow. I do want to add a second one, to increase the variability of the flow, but I love the sheer water movement.

For a 48" tank, an XF-250 would be awesome, and you probably wouldn't get it over 40%.

This is what two of them can do in my 180. They alternate, one is 100% while the other is 35% and I'm getting a whirlpool lol. They provide better velocity than a gyre.
