So I have a 20g long tank with 2 clowns and a cleaner shrimp. I use an aqueon 75 to add floss and carbon. I also have a powerhead that I control with WiFi switches.

I was wondering, is it ok to have the powerhead come on and off every 30 mins or so to give a little diversity?

Or will that stress the fish out?

(I will get corals but I wanted my tank to stabilize first. saving up for a light and DC powerhead)

Is it a wavemaker, or powerhead?

If the latter, starting and stopping constantly could cause premature failure.
It's a powerhead. I do have 2 more laying around so I'm not too worried. Do you think I should just leave it on during the day? I usually shut them off at night and leave only the hob on
