Hi.
I have to bring down (a lot) PO4 from 0.40 to 0.04. (and no3 too)
Instruction on PowerPhos says:
Start with 100 ml per 300 L of water.
After 5 days the dose can be increased up to 150 ml per 300 L of water.

So, in a 400 liters tank, the start amount should be 133ml
After 5 days, if po4 are still high and I have to increase the amount, should I totally replace the power phos with a fresh one (200ml, that is 150ml every 300 liters) or should I add just the difference (200-133 = 67 ml more) keeping the old adsorber in place ?

Hi there,

normally after 5 days the binding capacity is not yet reached and you can - if your PO4 values are still high - simply add more.
Our Power Phos must - normally - be replaced every 2 weeks - or when the phosphate values rise again.
So please keep a close eye on the value.
