Yep the generator is running the things I do for the love of reef tanks.

Snow storm hit as soon as I got of work . Then the fireworks started. Power lines hitting wet snow trees would light the sky then the power would go out . Come back on then more fireworks and loss of power over and over again. About 8 pm it went out for good.

Power is back on 1 a.m. thank goodness!!!

Yeah I feel you, our neighborhood of 2k homes, our tract no one else has lost power 4 times in less than two years for 12 hours plus, I now have generator and battery back up. Look into the pool noodle hack where you drill a hole trough it place the noodle in the window so you can pass an extension cord through it.

I watch as my dad forgot and closed the door with an extension cord in it, we could see the arcing of the electricity all around the door frame, the pool noodle is the window prevents that from happening.
