As long as they have enough to eat, they are usually not a problem. They will take advantage of ill, dying, or dead inverts and or fish. That's what scavengers do, rightDo they eat other snails that are beneficial?
I noticed since i had a very large infestation of vermit snails in my tank a year ago i gave up on the battle and allowed nature to take its course. I introduced a bummble bee snail and a puffer approximately 6 months ago, to date i have only found the odd one now. Not sure if its the snail being a machine or the puffer has acquired a taste but its working. So maybe?Any update on any of these methods? My vermetids are growing in numbers. I have emeralds and bumblebees. Not seeing a difference.
