I got some high phosphates in my tank and was wondering in seeing which product I should try out. I've been using phosban in the past in a TLF reactor, it' works for about 1 month, then I'll need to change the media in order to keep the levels at 0, else it goes as high as 1 readings.

I'm debating in seeing if I can use the Rowaphos brand versus the phosban phosphate media removers. Any pros / cons on either?

Second thing, I've noticed my corals to all slowly look stress and showing signs of death soon. I'm thinking my alkanity is off check, I'm ordering a new salifert alk & salifert calc test kit to see whats up. If my alk is low, whats the best solution to raise it? Any buffers recommended?

invest in a good 2 part Ca + alk product, test, and adjust accordingly. as far as phos media, i'm sure there are a million opinions out there. i've been using the BRS gfo in my reactor.

thanks for the reply.

ive recently got C Balance 2part - but havent been able to get my levels in check. (I'll check again w/ the new kits - since Ive used the crappy API kits).

How is the BRS GFO? which GFO size do you use - Granular, pellet, high cap Gfo?

Do you use the BRS reactor - I have the TLF reactors - would these media fit? Would you recommend the BRS medias - seems like a better option .

I use BRS GFO also. Ive used all 3 kinds but tend to stay with the granular. All 3 work great
