I'm considering an auto water change system on my large tank with a sump. I would need to do 4-5g a day. Tank is on the first floor and fresh saltwater would be in the basement so maybe 12' or so of head pressure. I'm looking for something tried and true that doesn't require constant fiddling. I don't run controllers like apex or hydros and have no desire or need so I'm looking for a stand alone system. I don't enjoy tech I'm just getting tired of rolling a brute to the bottom of the stairs and pumping water up. Anyone know of an AWC system that would work?

If I were to do this without a controller, I would try spectrapure liter meters on a timer. They may be too small for your application but I’d go there first. Good luck.

You can just use a peristatltic pump that feeds the fresh saltwater into the sump and put an overflow hole with a hose at the water line in the sump to drain the waste water away. I ran a system like that for a few years until I realized it was more work than it was worth and went back to 32 gal menards trash cans. It only takes me 10 minutes to do a water change with trash cans.
Also I didn't see any improvements with the continuous water change YMMV
