Well I picked up two peppermint shrimp today to add to the nano, and one of them is carrying a ton of little orange eggs. What do you guys think the chances they will get fertilized and a couple will make it are?

my cleaner shrimp carry eggs all the time and i have 2 and they both carry..... they droppem and then a week later have more .... my fish and coral eat most of them

my skunk cleaners used to always have fertile eggs..i would see the larva swim away...but they always ended up as fish food....

Lysmata shrimp are nearly impossible to raise, NEARLY, their offspring are plank-tonic so it takes the right setup and tons of dedication. Pretty much all offspring in captivity dies from either filtration or predation, i had dreams once of raising some but after research found that it was pretty much a pipe-dream :(
