Preventing algae transfer

Hi everyone,
I would like to move a few tank decorations from my old tank (now broken down) to my new tank (about three months old).
My concern is that my old tank had a massive, persistent, uncontrollable algae issue that I do not want to introduce to my new clean tank.
I have scrubbed the old decorations in hot freshwater and allowed them to dry for about two months.
Is there still a risk of contaminating the new tank? If there anything else that I can to do completely decontaminate my old decorations?
Worst case, I could just buy new decorations but they are pricey.

I think your cleaning method is enough, but if you still can’t sleep at night, soak the decorations in dilute bleach, say 1 part 7% bleach to 100 to 1000 parts water over night. That will sterilize it. If the decoration are porous, you’ll need to make sure the bleach is gone before adding it to the aquarium.
