Preventing rust on scraper blades?

So I use an algae scraper with a razor blade attachment to clean my front glass. The razor blades only last 1 time and then they start to rust.

I’m wondering about storing the blade in a Reef Safe oil, maybe Food Grade Mineral Oil, or even Olive Oil? - not sure if it will still work?

What do we think, do think mineral oil residue would be safe in the reef tank?

My scraper came with titanium blades. A quick google spits out titanium coated standard razor blades that aren't that expensive, maybe full titanium ones are available somewhere as well

Never had rust, only replaced them when they got dull and dented after a couple years

I bought a big box of stainless steel blades on Amazon. No more rust.

Good point on use once and toss. I think that makes sense.

I tried to find titanium but couldn’t find the right size for this 4” scraper
