is it just me or does it seem like the price of livestock has gone up a lot in the last few years???? I’m not sure why this is, I’ve been told it has something to do with collection restrictions, I have also been told that because of internet shopping fish stores are selling a lot less dry goods so they need to make there money on the fish they sell.
Maybe I’m just getting old and living in the past.

Yep, prices are crazy. Not getting into why since I have no idea

I used to by damsels 3 for 4-99 and yellow tangs 7.99. I will say when purple tangs hit the scene in greater numbers years ago they were going for Hight hundreds to mid 200. They have not changed much.

Its cause of the ban from livestock being imported

Many fisheries closed likely add up 20% markup and then there’s the issue of horrible conditions that wholesalers get away with that likely kill most of their fish before they’re even able to sell it to die in someone else’s care. Sorry, sounds harsh but that’s what our hobby has become...
