Primer Only okay? No Cement???

Hello, I messed up and only bought primer and not cement for my pvc. Is this okay to only use or am I asking for a problem.

Asking for a problem. You need the actual glue to achieve a water tight joint.. Sorry to say, but I see a trip back to the hardware store in your future...

Have to agree with the others. Primer is essentially the same solvent as the glue, but glue has added pvc solids dissolved in it. The joints might hold, but I wouldn’t trust them. If the added solids weren‘t necessary, the manufacturers wouldn’t add them. PVC is relatively cheap; it’s not worth the risk.

You can skip the primer but cant skip the glue :(
