Just got up and running a few months ago but there is the first FTS on10-6-2020 and Today 1-2-2021 all corals are growing fast but unfortunately I got a bacterial issue with the fish and they all got booted back to QT. Tank will be CuC, cleaner shrimp, and a porcelain crab for 2 more months. I still have a few diatoms blooms but they have been sorting themselves out.

What a great thread! I had not realized how far I'd come in the last year. I was a newbie a year ago, as shown by how my tank was basically an algae tank last year, and this year it's actually a reef tank (with some hair algae, but not over-run. Many water changes later, I'm starting to get this.

It really is amazing how much 1 year will do. When i first signed up for R2R, i chased all the threads about beginner tanks. i have learned so much about tank maturing, patience, and baby steps. I feel so many issues come from hasty decisions or wanting immediate results.

Thanks for all of you guys sharing your experiences and Tank progression.

Keep them coming.

1 year in. It ain’t much and I made some mistakes but I’m proud of what I’ve done.

As long as your happy with it it's perfect. But at 1 year, I bet it's about to take off! Keep at it!
