I have made a few post now about my 265G upgrade. Here i will start the discussion / progression of it as i disassembled it from the previous owner to installing it into my home. My fiah room may not be ideal but its the best i got and it will fit perfect where my 75 gallon and misc other tanks are. I have a bumpy road ahead of me but soon my fishes will have plenty of room to play and hide.

Here was the tank originally:

Now is the time for the cleaning and some resealing of the 265 gallon. Below is after i cleaned it and scrapped away some of the old very crusty corner seals. The bottom sealant was still in perfect condition.

This is the stand and canopy for it. Needs some extra support built on the inside... ill get to that eventually.

Still trying to decide what pump to replace these with. The big one was seized up (nothing a little PB blaster couldnt help) but works now. The little guy next to it is what was being used when it was set up (thats the same size i had on my 75 gallon

Now for the sump/ skimmer; i am not sure how i feel about this one. It works fine pretty sure it is plenty big enough, i have not been able to find any others like it so I think it is custom. The skimmer was working when i picked the tank up, previous owner said he just replaced the pump. Thought on the skimmer? Will it service the needs of a 265?

Today i cleaned up the old sealant and i have prepared it for a fresh bead. What could go wrong? Haha i made sure i did not stick the razor in between the glass panes...

Ok so the corners now have new sealant on them. I was not shy with the sealant at all but still seems like it should be thicker, thoughts?

Shall I put another on top of those ones? Or does stacking beads even work?
