Working on my rockscape. Thoughts? I still have a huge Arch I want to put on the left side.

IMG_2559.jpeg

I definitely purchased way to much rock and I think I am still using more than I want to inside of the actually tank!

Just got word that the tank will be delivered to the local warehouse on Wednesday! Hopefully they can get enough guys to put it in place at my house shortly after. There is one tight turn that will require the tank to stand on its side to get it into the basement. I am hoping they can get it down there without to many issues! The mockup we made fit with a few inches to spare.

Slight change of plans. I might be going with a Geo sump vs the Synergy.

It would be something like this, but with Red walls and also a refugium at the end.

Anyone have an experience with either Geo or Synergy?
I have the synergy cl-60. It’s nice.

Let me know how heavy/difficult that tank is once you move it!

So I got a bonkers deal on the Pentair UV80, which is why I have 2 UVs now. So my plan now is to use the Pentair UV50 on one return pump for the protozoa control and the UV80 for Algae control. All the docs I read show the HO UV80 needs about 2700GPH for a 600 gallon tank.

Is my thinking below correct.

The GPH and tank size the docs recommend come out to a turnover of the tank of about 4.5 times an hour. I have about 330G total water volume, does that mean I will need about 1485GPH flow through this UV for Algae control?

Tank was delivered! The ordeal to bring it down was something else!

The Stand came in 2 pieces otherwise it would not fit through the door

IMG_0122.jpeg

...still did not fit! We had to cut the drywall out in the stairwell to be able to maneuver the stand down.

IMG_0125.jpeg

After a few cuts, a removal of a stud the stands finally went down!

SUCCESSSS.

Next comes the tank. It took 10 Guys to bring it downstairs. It must have weighed 600lbs.

IMG_0126.jpeg

I wont bore you with the video of it going down, but after it was down, it went on the stand! The tank is built....like a tank (pun intended)...

IMG_0137.jpeg

Next was attaching the wood skin. Also, boss...I mean wife for scale.

IMG_0141.jpeg

Tonight, my plan was to start on the rockscape. What are you guys thoughts? I have 4 Radion G5s, but I only put 2 on for the picture. I think I may need 5...

The stand has a few scuffs on it and the installers are coming back tomorrow to patch them up. The guys I worked with were great, would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have not glued anything down yet, so if you have any criticism or suggestions I am all ears!

Looks great, I like the wood skin. Very elegant appearance.

How wide is the lip around the stand top? What is the height of the stand to bottom of the tank? I like the look and wanna make sure I'm on the right track with my stand
