I have some really nice hairy mushrooms that are growing on my LR. I’m trying to figure out how either remove a few to sell or split them them.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

To get my bounce mushrooms off the live rock I pull the whole rock out of the water. Grab a hammer and a flat head screw driver, then I chisel around there foot and they usually break off with a nice chunk of live rock underneath them. Sorry theres no real easy way to do it besides this. You could always cut the mushroom and wait for it to attach to ruble rock but it takes so long.

Elastic bands work nicely for this.

The easiest most successful, least stressful way ive found to propagate shrooms is take a small piece of foot and cut it off and wait for it to grow a mouth.
Some shrooms can go from a little tiny foot booger to nickel or quarter size shrooms with in just a few months.
I just recently cleaned up a bunch of discs and did some re organizing and glued and bunch of small foot boogers to frags plugs.

Look real close at the feet. The best parts to take are well seated and almost look like they are starting to web like in this picture.
If you see a piece stretching as well just slice it and help it along.

Going to have to add "foot booger" to my reefer dictionary.
