I depends on what you are growing but I would say a halide for sure.

I did t5's on my fragtank because I didnt want to deal with heat issues. The tank is in my basement and it gets pretty hot in the summer down there. Plus I've always used mh's on all my tanks so I'm curious to see how my corals react to t5's.

I've never ran a t5 only tank but I always thought t5 and mh were pretty close in growth.

they were relatively close in growth for some corals, others seemed to get stressed much more easily, and the coloration was much better when using halides for me. every farm system is different though, so who knows, on other systems t5's might rock out, just not on mine

Hey Miguel, cna you give us what specs of the lighting you had and the tank size? (which T5 bulb combinations?)
