You think less than 10 x turnover is not weak :squigglemouth:

Not to mention the hydor, which cuts down on flow even more. But again, it all depends on what type of corals the OP would like to keep in their reef.:nerd:

he can always do 2 but everyone likes what they like. they are easy to hide and reliable. and unless he is doing all sps he should not go crazy with current in a 29

I plan on having mostly LPS and Zoa, but will see. I am also looking at how many ghp is appropriate. I do not have much experience (none actually) and was looking at the lfs in town and they all had the different powerheads rated by gallons per hour. Am I even looking at them correctly? Thanks.

It depends on how much you want to spend. A Tunze 6025 at least or a Vortech MP10 would be better (because you can adjust the flow).

Two Evolutions Nano 425's would probably work well for zoanthids and LPS and be pretty inexpensive. You could also add a wavemaker or controller at a later date to get more functionality out of them since they are controllable.
