Finally got the microscope out. I'm thinking prorocentrum. Since I added UV, the population has dwindled, but not completely cleared (like it's done in the past for me with ostreopsis).

Uv doesn't help much with prorocentrum. It's not one that lives in th water column. Dosing silicates and biodiversity is what I used to beat it.

This is pretty typical experience with prorocentrum. They do go into the water at night, but not in the numbers like you'd expect from ostreopsis.
You can push more into the water with a 2-3 day blackout period. Prorocentrum often need encouragement to take to the water en mass.

Agreed, all. Not sure best way to cheaply get silicates dosed, but I plan on upping nitrates (which have been hovering slightly above 0), maybe add some of my sand from another tank, and maybe get a booster of Fiji Mud to dose slowly for diversity.

You can get some Loudwolf cheap to dose silicate. Aquaforest mud or Prodibio helps with diversity.
