Protein Skimmer not bubbling

I took my bubble magus apart to clean the pump and now when I turned it back on, its not bubbling. The water is flowing fine, but it doesn't appear to be sucking air down. I blew into the air hose and its clean, do I have prime it some how?

Also, when I put it together, the disc that has the holes, I lined that up so that the water hits the spot where there are no holes. Is that correct?

Not sure on putting the BM back together. If that is part of the issue then I am not sure. If not or has nothing to do with the air hose part, you have a clog somewhere. Line or pump itself. Tear it back apart and it may become apparent where the clog is at.

Thanks for the help. I had the inlets reversed. Helps when you put it together correct :-p

I don't have the same skimmer as you, but the skimmer I use, sometimes clogs where my airline connects to the impellor housing inside my skimmer.

to check to make sure that your air line is clear cover it with your finger...you should see the water level in the skimmer rise towards the cup and you can let go once you see it rising. This means that the airline is clear. Other than that make sure that the skimmer is in the same level of water sometimes when they get to deep they will stop producing the microbubbles
