error code 8001050f. apparently its a bud because its even affecting ps3's not connected to the web. its something wrong with the built in clock on the ps3. and its only the older "fats" ps3s and not the slims. cant get online and cant even play a game because of the error code

yep it hit alot of people today me included. and theres nothing you can do because the internal clock runs if the ps3 is on or off.

playstation is working on it i guess. just google the error code or this
registration of trophy error. and you will get alot of info on it. im going to call ps3 tomorrow because i just had them fix my last 1 a month ago. the mother board went out

Apparently it's a leap year calculation issue. I guess we r all bricked pending an update pushed from sony... Will it be an issue to bring in the update if I can't access the network?

you would think its a software issue and they gotta update it because i cant do anything because of the error. and people without the web have the same problem. i will call sony tomorrow and see whats up

Don't bother calling. They tweeted at 5 eastern that they are aware of a problem and working on it. No response since. They aren't taking calls any longer either. There is talk that it was a hack, some are saying it was an update (perhaps gone wrong) that they took us all offline for, and others saying it is just a server side issue and once they fix it we will be kosher.

Not sure but it looks like RROD ain't got nuthin on this!

i bet this isnt an easy fix:cry:

no its affecting people that dont have internet.
