I'm in the middle of an aipstia outbreak, but also have some berghias that have started to pick up the pace. I am guessing I'll be aipstia free in about a month.
However, one of the aipstia is growing near my Psammocora. They are not quite touching yet, and neither coral seems to be retreating or getting burned. I'm wondering if I should grab the needle nose pliers and try and crush/mangle/pluck the aipstia. I'm worried that it may make things worse by expelling some aipstia juice.
Can anyone tell me who will win the battle once they touch? Or offer any kind of alternative plan other than waiting for the berghia or getting out the pliers?
And also, while I've got your ear, any additional information on Psammocora. They seem to be an underrepresented coral in the trade. I sort of picked it up as an impulse buy (which I rarely do, honest) and am starting to like it quite a bit.
