Hi all! I'm slowly planning my next tank upgrade and wanted to bounce around some ideas for input. I would like to create a tank based around puffers since I like them so much.

I'm thinking of tank size 300g.

Here's what I would like to add:
-2 Arothron puffers
-1 porcupine puffer
-2 "more docile" triggers (e.g. Niger, Pinktail, or a Xanthichthys species)

Any other ideas of what else would go well in this tank? I'd like to keep it a relatively peaceful predator tank :)

Clown triggers are awesome but a bit too mean for what I want in this tank. If I have space one day I’d consider keeping one in its own tank :). Do you have one?

I do, and my Niger bullies him occasionally. They’ve been together 2+ years in a 240. The Niger runs the tank.

That's funny. Nigers can be pretty hit or miss as far as aggression, it seems. What else lives in your tank?

Clown Trigger, Niger Trigger, Purple Tang, Black Dogface Puffer, and a 20-24" Snowflake Eel. I will be adding an Angel soon, probably a Blue Face.

That’s a cool stock list. Where’d you get the black dogface? I haven’t ever seen one. Blue face angels are beautiful but they hide a lot

Apparently I got lucky. 2 1/2 years ago when I got my tank the guy that set it up had 2 to choose from. Great fish with a lot of personality!
