Anyone using an ASF new jet 570 gpa dc return pump by DR. Tim?

Hello!

I didn't know that Dr. Tim offers pumps, can you provide a link?

I have the IM 25 lagoon AIO, and I've tried the IM Mighty Jet pumps, I've also tried the Jebao pumps, both are very good. I recommend the Jebao's, I find them basically the same as the Mighty Jet, but cheaper.

God luck!

https://store.drtimsaquatics.com This is the link. Fish tank direct sells them, also saltwater aquarium and Amazon. Amazon is about $30 cheaper but I don’t know if I trust them.

This link you might find useful. Let me know what you think. What gph are you running! Any rfg or spin nozzles?

I have one Mighty Jet 538 gph going in my 25 lagoon now.

I have thought about using two Mighty Jet 326 gph, I have been told these two pumps will fit.

I have a Jebao DCW-1500 in an IM 15 gallon AIO; works just as well as the Mighty Jet pumps.

I did recently order the RFG's by Vivid Creative Aquatics, they should be here next week, but I hear they are very good. I had an IM SpinStream nozzle on another tank, and I did not like it.

Thanks for the info. The 538 is not to much flow? What setting did you have it on? I have read some reviews saying it was quite noisy is that true.

I’ve had a few of the Mighty Jet pumps, I find them all to be very quiet, same with the Jebaos.

If noise is a concern, I wouldn’t recommend the SpinStream nozzle, it’s known to be noisy, though many do say the noise goes away in time when it breaks in. Mine clicked so much I couldn’t do it.

I’m just starting to stock this tank, but I don’t think the 538 is too powerful, depending on what you want to keep. It is controllable, so you can dial it back if you need to.

Did you get a chance to look at the links I sent you? Just wondering what you thought of the pump. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

I did see the link, but I have no experience with that pump. I’d be willing to bet it’s very good, but I don’t know for sure.
