So I finally hard plumbed my refugium because I was sick of staying up all night readjusting the ball valves every time the tubing got bumped. I have it in a second sump with pumps going to and from my main sump, as seen in the pictures. I’m currently using two danner mag drive 9.5s which has gotten me exactly the flow rate i need to tumble my chaeto in the first section while not blowing my red macros to bits in the second section. However, my tank temp is consistently at almost 82°F now even with a fan on it which obviously is not good. I need recommendations on a pump with similar flow rate that won’t emit so much heat. Thank you in advance!

P.S. I know the next thing to work on is wire management, please don’t judge XD

I ended up using a pair of sicce 3.5s which is more than enough flow to tumble my chaeto when paired with a couple nano wavemakers. The issue is still heat though, and I don’t think there’s any escaping that with 5 medium to large pumps between both sumps when including my skimmer and biopellet reactor. What I did to fix it was bought a pre owned chiller from a LFS in my area for $100 which is a great deal considering it seems to be barely used. I know not everyone can use that solution but it’s working for me
