Not fully understanding your question.
DSB's don't need movement.

If your asking general advice on movement for water colunm, this depends on a few variables.

What do you want to keep for coral and budget are two main ones.

I wrote dsb to say you and others that in the tank will have a sand that can be a problem with a strong flow..

Yes I'm asking for the movement in the water column

Gottcha,
For me, only 2 pumps in a tank,
I would want ones that can be directed. That leaves out the vortects and gyres.
Then I would look at my budget and decide. Looks like Nero is left on the list. Or other jaebos not the gyre kind.

96x24x24 with a DSB and I use 4x Tunze 6100s and a wavebox. I would add Tunze to your list - world class reliability.

Once the stuff get coated with some bacteria and film, it will stay put pretty well. I use the sand to tell me when I have too much flow. You don't need so much flow that all of your sand moves around (again, after a few months when it gets coated in organics). Once you have enough flow, you have enough, IMO... no need to use more. Knowing when you have enough can be hard sometimes.
