Pumps froze up

Alright so I have 2 jaboe wp 25's with a controller ( yes I know their the cheapos but I'm only 19 And was on a budget when I bought them when I was 17) the other day I noticed my pumps weren't coming on even if I manually try to turn them on my the button. I thought it was the controller cause I've had a problem with it in the past so I ordered a new controller and I put it on today and it didn't fix the problem. So I thought and got a paperclip to try to "bump start" the props and they come on when you give them a bit of a nudge. There is quite a bit of Coraline algae over them and figured they have clogged the motors up. Is there any way that I can't get the pumps cleaned of Coraline algae?

Depends you can take them out and give them a overnight vinegar bath to clean them up like new

Will the vinegar be strong enough to take the Coraline off?

Pull them apart and pull propeller out and clean everything with hot water ...YouTube prob has some videos how to take it apart

yes vinegar will take off the coralline. Let them soak and periodically scrub them with a toothbrush and return to soaking. Should be ok by tomorrow if the coralline is in fact the problem.

I have the rw-8s and I'm twice your age, don't worry about them being cheapies. :) Pull them apart and soak them in vinegar as the others have said. They should fire right back up when they're free of all the gunk inside of them. Sometimes there are little rubber gaskets which if you can remove it might be better to take them off and not soak overnight. All the other parts are fair game though.

You'll also want to develop a maintenance routine where you clean them regularly so it doesn't happen again and lose something. I soak mine at least once a month. JAS
