I picked this up from a LFS and it seems to have encrusted the rock and then spread out on the glass or some other flat surface. It seems that it has been removed from the flat surface. Does it look like an encrusting monti or a cap to you?

Also... what is the coral to the left and up slightly? I grabbed that too but when I asked the shop owner what it was... he shrugged his shoulders.

Thanks,

puntific

PS. Wow that's big... no one will laugh at my thumbnail photo THIS time...

It could be purple haze, but it is hard to tell for sure with the color of the pic. I think it is primarily an ecrusting monti. The other monti looks like a confusa. But I am by no means a Montipora specialist.

The large purple one is definitely a Purple haze, not sure on the other one but it does look like a Blue skies.
