Purple Tang Question

I have had my purple tang for well over a year now and never thought to ask this. But my purple tang does not have any strips at all. Never did since i got him.. He or she has the freckles but no strips.. Is this normal?

Cool - I've always seen them with the black stripe in them.

You must have the super rare all-purple model :)

Talking about strips like that? This is my purple tang.

Yep, mine is just pure purple on the body. He has the freckles on the face but zero strips

I have one with just the black spots on the face and front area, it is mostly deep purple without the strips. I was told they come from different areas not sure where though. I think the Arabian Peninsula that surrounds Saudi Arabia is where the non stripe ones come from. Both the stripe ones and the non stripe ones are common.[h=3][/h]
