Purple tang sudden death

Water parameters nominal. No new additions to tank. Had tang for a year. Looked lethargic and slight fin discoloration before death

Did it gain weight? Sometimes fish can get edema.. very rare however.

Fish looks thin and far from edema but appears to have weakened and may be internal or impact injury

What else do you have in your Tank? Fish and inverts. Maybe a Sting?

I did just have a recent uptick of aiptasia in the corner of my tank. Was almost wondering if it was a sting myself.
Aside from that I don’t believe anything else in the tank would sting.

How old was it?

Unsure, I owned it for approximately one year

I did just have a recent uptick of aiptasia in the corner of my tank. Was almost wondering if it was a sting myself.
Aside from that I don’t believe anything else in the tank would sting.
