Push button for feed mode?

My apex display powers on, but no info. I figured It was bad. I want to add a push button on my cabinet to put the apex in feed mode. I have the cable that plugs into the unit. I have a newer unit. Can I put the button on the two wires and make that work? I hate trying to find my cell to put it into feed mode.

It's unclear what you're asking.

If you want to add a button to control a feed mode, you'll need a break out box (or equivalent generic) and a button.

Then it's fairly straightforward in how to add that button to fusion and set it up for a feed cycle.

Edit: if you have an Alexa then you can avoid physical buttons altogether. It's so much easier to say, "Alexa, tell apex fusion to .....'.

ok. I am not sure what these ports can be used for.

Those are 24v outlets. Only thing that comes to mind that fit those are the pmups. But you can use any 24v components minding that you stay under their recommended threashold for amperage.... you'd have to look that up.

We setup a pushbutton for feedmode.
1. Use apex breakout box for pb input.
2. Setup a virtual output vfeedfish
3. Turn on vfeedfish when pb closed
4. Use vfeedfish to shut off return pump with defer time for feeding time.
5. Slave other devices,skimmer, powerheads to return pump output.
