How long have you had the fish?
How long has it had this spot?

You may know, this species is really prone to Neobenedenia “eye flukes”. That isn’t this though, Neo causes diffuse cloudiness to both eyes on the surface.

There is another eye fluke that lives deeper in a fish’s eye. It is much rarer. Also, it is what is called a digenean fluke and it has multiple hosts in its life cycle, snails, fish and sea birds. If that is this, no real worry because they can’t grow in numbers in an aquarium due to lack of hosts.

Then, it could just be a minor injury….
