QT Tank Got Bacterial Film Safe To Switch To Display Tank ?

I have a couple leathers and euphyllia frags in a 20 gallon QT tank , the past few days I came upon what I say bacterial film/slime and it pretty much caking my corals and causing them not to fully open I was was planning on moving them out already to my main display but Im afraid of transferring the bacteria film over to my main tank. What your thoughts do I run a risk?

The bacteria will be transferred to any tank you move it to but this is not necessarily a disastrous choice. The film is thriving off of excess nutrients likely phosphates or nitrogenous compounds. If your display has proper parameters, the film will not become a problem. Soft corals like leathers and more fleshy corals like euphyllias need good water flow. A buildup of open inhibiting film indicates too low of a flow.

Thank you for the reply , I believe the Biofilm may have came from a piece of new dry rock I stuck in to seed ,QT tank a month nd half old, That gives me a piece of mind before i add them to my main tank ill just make sure to rinse the frags well
