Qt tank salinity

So I’ve read some conflicting articles that say that running a salinity for a qt system at 1.020 salinity is too low what is the good folks on reef2reef’s opinion on this

I run Quarantine at 1.024 however reason many run it at these lower levels is many protozoans dont thrive well in lower salinity hence hypo-salinity method as well as use of higher temperatures to defeat parasites
