So I’m getting ready to set you QT tank for some new fish and was planning on doing a water change in my DT at the same time. Would it be ok to use water from my DT as long as parameters are in check?

Yep, waste not want not :)

The only time it’s not advised, is if you are moving fish from a display to QT in an active parasite outbreak. To reduce the number of parasites coming with the fish.
