Quanta Helix Lights - best controller setup

Thanks - I actually asked the manufacturer about this and he said I would have to cut the male end off and connect the individual wires up and solder or some comparable method.

Why? They have custom made stereo jacks?
Here they even state 3.5mm stereo jack..


Of course the light "out" needs to be correct which it seems to do..
