Has anyone used this salt before?

Added a hammer coral last week so I thought I would test my water now I've received the red sea pro test kits.

Tested after my water change and these are the current levels...

Alk 7.5
Mag 1260
Calc 360

I have my salinity at 1.026

From the salt bucket it says the levels mix to:

Calc 430
Mag 1295
Alk 8

So mu main concern is why would my levels be lower even on a higher salinity?

Anyone found this same thing using this salt?

Have you tested the salt mix? The values in the tank could be lower due to many factors

No I haven't done that. Will make sure I do when I next mix up a batch.

As surly I shouldn't be having to dose this early to get to recommended levels
The values of the salt would only be replenished if you had done a 100% water change, if you only done a certain percentage then some values will have to be manually dosed to bring up the values, corals will consume a lot of elements as they start growing.

Two things can be happening here, you are stoping short on the color for testing or you mixed water change with cold water, allowing the salt to precipitate out in the water change water.

Additional factors, which the original post left unanswered, how long has the water been I. The system before being tested? What else could be in the system sucking up the alk, cal, and mag? Coraline, inverts, fish, and other corals can be. Sand and rock can also be.
