So I’m new to reef keeping but not to fish keeping and I’m currently quarantining a Percula Clown and a yellow watchman gobie. I was wondering how should I treat with formalin it’s a 10 gallon bare bottom qt tank

It's a solid move to QT your fish, but formalin specifically has some human health related concerns, and isn't widely used or recommended. This is the R2R QT protocol, which uses copper and then praziquantel:

Good luck!

Recommended in lieu of formalin based meds is Coppersafe, a safe method at 2.25ppm for 30 days. An alternate method is Hyposalinity at 1.009 salt level but stressful for many fish including clowns. Always start with a good acclimation prior to medicating/transfer of fish
