Question about Archon

Hi there guys.
I'm thinking about the Reefkeepers.
But I don't know squat. Now I've been reading about Archon. Do I need any of the Reefkeeper systems so that the Archon can work?
Can I get just the Lite basic and Archon? Or do I need the RKL/RKE with the Archon?
All I need it for is to monitor Temp and to turn on/off components related to heat and lights plus feed mode. Ph and Salinity would be nice though. I don't have direct Internet access to my 35g Cube. So this is why Im choosing Reefkeeper over Apex. Because of budget.
A little guidance from the aquarium controller pros.

The lite or the reefkeeper elite are completely separate head unit systems. If you're looking to get just the archon then purchase it and get a pc4 which will allow you to turn up to for outlets on and off. You can add as many of these as you want. The archon will handle your pH and temperature. If you want salinity you will need to purchase the SL2 module.

Oh I see. So the Archon is its own head unit? I dont see a display on it though. What about the temp and PH probes, purchase seperately? Doesn't DA also make a PC8?
Does the SL2 come with the probe?
Some say it's worth it some say it's not. Are these the Apex fan boys giving crap on DA?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to understand DA better. I want simplicity Apex seems to confuse me more.

So I'm not sure of the packages but yes it can come with probes. It can come with a pb8.

No display. It's all web based. It produces it's own wifi so you just connect to that and then open Firefox on the device that's connected to it's ssid.

Lots of apex fanboys. I've been on the beta test crew since launch. It was not ready when we started. However now mine is Rock solid. It runs my tank perfectly. I have 4 jebao devices independently controlled by the archon. It does my salinity, ph, ato, heater, skimmer, cheato reactor etc. I don't hesitate to recommend now.

hmm now you really got my mind going. I just found your YouTube content so I'll go see what direction you are taking me. I might have some questions after watching your vids.
