I added clownfish to my tank yesterday, a 32g AIO w/a 35watt 550DC pump. I have a power head in the back of the left wall, but I think maybe it’s too much flow for my clowns, to have both the pump and the power head. They’re little and appear to struggle a bit when I had everything on. I also don’t want to do anything that’s bad, like not enough flow, so I’ve got the pump at 100% instead of 50 w/powerhead. Any advice?

Slow the flow

As long as they’re not getting thrown around they will adapt to the flow and find the spots in the tank when they can avoid it when they need to rest

They’ve been in one of the corners all day, and I got concerned. The larger one did that all night, the little one joined her this AM. They do seem a little less frantic without the powerhead.

This is pump @50 w/powerhead on
A longer, full tank shot would have been better but on this video they seem to be struggling. Clowns are bad swimmers. Your flow needs to be directed so they don’t have to fight it. And not too strong.

HOW MUCH DOES A FISH’S FEEDING REQUIREMENTS AFFECT YOUR STOCKING DECISIONS?
