i lost majority of my coral due to my dumb mistake i have all the coral in the rubbermaid as i was drilling the holes in the tank. but did not finish putting together till the next day i forgot to put the heater in the rubbermaid. Therefore i lost all sps except softie n zoas due to temp swing. anyway how long should i wait till i add sps in again? right now my po4 and nitrate is a little high which is causing the algae to bloom. It happen when i use the same sand n working on doing couple of water changes to bring it down. And working on upgrading the DIY led system so i can be able to manually intensity or colors temp if i wanted to. thanks

I agree. Make sure everything is stable and ready to go before you add your SPS.

First off, sorry for all your troubles. This hobby is frustrating sometimes.

I do agree that I would wait until everything is back in line before diving back in. Sometimes we get in too much of a hurry and make things worse.

Well reason y I'm rushing is because there a couple of sps tht I would like to get my hand on before they gone but it not going to happen anytime soon so I'm just going to hold off any purchases on corals till I deal with the algae and cranyo by dealing with the po4 n nitrite. All my softie and Yuma are doing well in tank here the pic

See if you can put a deposit on the pieces to hold them (or pay in full if necessary). Any decent LFS will do that to help a customer. You might hear they are not responsible if they happen to have a tank crash before you pick them up, but that's another story.

get things stable before you get any of those pieces. Those pieces all look fairly common so I am sure they will pop up again down the road. The are maricultured pieces so definately make sure things are very stable. gl mate and down the road we can trade some frags, but get those params in check because if you dont youll be throwing money away at those pieces.

Yah, stabilize things first. I tried to rush back after a crash and bought SPS frags, which didn't last and died bc things were not stable yet. Those are maricultured pieces, which you'll run into again. So, don't rush it. You need stable parameters especially for maris.
