Hey guys,

so I’ve been wanting to buy a chalice piece for a while now, the one Im lookin at is a bit expensive.
Im currently running a 13.5 Fluval sea Evo, HD prime light.
i was told before that acros shouldn’t be able to be kept in my tank, now the chalice being an SPS would I be able to keep that in my tank?
Thank you for your input in advanced.

Chalices and acros have different light requirements, chalices liking lower light levels around 100 par; when I had a Fluval my chalices did well under the stock light.

Chalice corals are usually hardy and can be kept in a veriety of lighting conditions as long as its not blasting it with par. They prefer lower light. Also chalice corals are considered lps not sps.

Thanks guys! Guy at my LFS store said they were sps... haha interesting. Will be purchasing my chalice
