I can think of one really good way to find out :xd: just make sure to file off the barb, and good luck getting just the damsel to go for it. Might be worth tricking him by first putting some excess food on it that he nibbles off without getting scared of the hook, then after a time or two, go for the actual catch.

yeah, just try it and you will learn something. how big is the damsel? i caught a wolf eel in my uncle's tank once without shaving off the barb...luckily he came right off once i pulled him out of the overflow!

Not sure how big he is, I learned my lesson from other peoples mistakes and will never ever put a damsel in my tank. I'm doing research for a local reefer;)
