Anybody using the Galaxy ballast have problems with restarting after a power outage? Had a brief power failure earlier this afternoon and the MH being run by the brand new galaxy ballast won't turn back on. The other two lights have come back on - the 'old style' icecap came on after about 15 minutes or so, which I expected ..... the newer icecap took almost an hour for some reason ..... and now several hours later and the galaxy still has not come on. The reset button on the ballast is not popped, power supply is fine, obviously enough time to cool down.

When the power went out, the generator automatically kicked on and off again - but I don't see why that would have any affect on it - it didn't seem to bother the trusty old icecaps. I was under the impression that the galaxy's were "generator ready" anyway.

Good luck with it. The newer Galaxy ballasts have had a lot of issues. Sunlight Supply has closed it's Aquatics division and is not strictly focused on Horticulture. Hopefully this was just a temporary issue, but if it is a warranty claim you are better off going through your local store vs Sunlight Supply.

Thanks, hopefully it will restart this morning! Guess I know I won't be replacing the other icecaps if/when they go with a galaxy!!
