I’m thinking of updating my sump. I’m tired of filter socks. I have 265 gallon display. I’m in the process of moving it and making a fish room. The PRO Series 60 Filter Roller Sump - Bashsea is a foot shorter than the one I have. A big part of that is 4- 7” filter socks. Does anyone have input on the bashsea sump?

☝🏼 these two pictures are the one I have. I guess it makes me nervous to go smaller by one foot. But I love the idea of having a filter roller. What do you think? Am I overthinking this?

I think you don't need us to tell you that. :D

I don't see the big difference between socks and other mechanical since I don't use any.

While you're over-thinking maybe consider returning all that "waste" to the coral food stream and go no mechanical?

Seems like your current setup is rockin.....don't fix what isn't broken! :)
