Filter roller for Infinia Peninsula 7225 sump

I’m interested in the ReefMat 1200 since that thing seems to be working really well. However, I’m not sure if it’ll fit my sump.

I’m hoping that I don’t need to cut the glass panel and move it half an inch and that it somehow fits where the socks are in that picture. Height isn’t a problem, it’s only the 8.5” I’m guessing is too small…

Anyone here with experience with this sump / roller combination?

Also: alternatives to the ReefMat are welcome!

you could always put in the refugium chamber

I guess, but that feels like wasting a lot of space in the sump as the socks part wouldn’t be used anymore then… Maybe I’m missing something though.

I had the previous gen of this tank and had to cut out the sock holders and could only jam a 500 in there. I initally had it in the fuge section.

I would go a 1200 if I did it again and just put in the fuge section or in the sock section if it fits - doesnt look like it would anyway. you will also probably find the big of glass that separates the socks from fuge also is the wall for the return chamber.

Could always use the sock section as a fuge or put some reactors I guess. add little plump to get water flowing back there.

Thanks for the info! I might put it in the fuge section then since I’m also going to run an additional pump for my uv light and then I can put the return line of the uv in the sock section…

If you are going to cut baffles out of the sump anything get the red sea sump modification kit they are cheap., had this super thin blade that makes it super easy.

I can measure what min is tomorrow. But I have a feeling that if you cut out the sock area you can get it to fit.
