I think i should tag him here and bring him to the table. His post history is very telling. BUT, maybe he is just confused, because he didn't do the proper research on the product he sought out, and can be brought to a reasonable understanding. But ill leave the decision to you.
@vinhusc can try and explain it.
But I know he lied to PayPal and who else, I don't know.

Hello Gentlemen,

For your consideration.

I bought the Red Dragon Eco 5 200 watt pump from Mr. Martin Finn.

When I received the pump, it does not have any listed country of origin, Made in "Germany"...??? anywhere on the box, packaging, instructions and the pump itself… only the power supply/controller is Made in CHINA.!!! To be crystal clear, the pump, packaging and "manual printed instruction" look very cheap!
Therefore I suspect this pump is not Made in Germany or this is the FAKE one, and/or not original Red Dragon Eco 5 pump.

I have every RIGHT to suspect the product that I paid for.

I politely asked him to return the pump to get my money back. He rejected and he also spread a lie about me on the R2R community!

To be honest, I would appreciate and will not escalate to the PayPal dispute department if he approach & try to resolve the problem in the nice way & politely AND he should tell me up front about the power supply/controller is Made in CHINA... More than that, I am a newbie (brand new) in this hobby, still have a lot of things to learn!

As a buyer, I cannot cheat or lie to him for anything ??? for what reason ??? and I bought the pump with his asking/advertised price.

Again, this is just a hobby, and the amount $925 is not a big deal ... However, he start cursing on me, it is not acceptable.
Frankly speaking, I don't really care much about his good/bad feedback because I would rather buy it directly from the authorize dealer than the unknown source.

Thank You very much.

FIRST of all you are lying about the PayPal dispute. You already filed a dispute with your CC company and PayPal on 1/30.
You lied to PayPal about the pump. You said the pump was made in China.
These are facts.
I have the emails from PayPal.

I did turn you down for a refund. That is my right. You agreed to buy it. You did give me money. I did mail you the pump still in the original packaging.
I have the receipt from Aquarium Specialty. I paid $1229. You got it for $925.
It is up to the buyer to do the research on items they are buying.
You must not have done anything.
When you first asked for a refund, I told you to call Aquarium Specialty to confirm where the pump came from. Looks like you didn't bother doing anything.
It says on the Royal Exclusiv web site ( both the German and USA ) that these pumps are made in Germany 100%.
It also says on the web sites that they use Meanwell power supplies. Meanwell makes one of the better power supplies. But it's not the pump.

I also saw you were looking to buy a different pump before I got the notice from PayPal. There are time stamps on the posts you made and the time the emails came in to me.

I truly believe you were looking for an excuse to get your money back to get something different.
And for the record I did not curse at you.

You seem to be looking for other used/new equipment here on R2R so the excuse that you would rather buy from a authorized dealer doesn't hold water.

I even offered to sell you a cheaper smaller pump for your new system, but you refused. You insisted on the Red Dragon pump.

You got the pump as it came to me in the original packaging and box.

Since the buyer didn't do his research, here is the information on the Royal Exclusiv web site.

Vinhusc, the website clearly lists a Meanwell Power Supply in the description. I used and bought hundreds of these in my career over the years, and they are top notch products. Sure, they are probably made in China as are almost 100 percent of the AC/DC adapters out there. You state that "this the FAKE one". What fake one are you speaking of? Do you have a link? And I would never dismiss $925 as "not a big deal". That's a lot of money. Why not contact Royal Exclusive and let them know your concerns. If someone is copying their design and packaging, I'm sure they would want to know about it and would pursue legal action. The OP is a longstanding member hear on R2R and I doubt he would jeopardize his reputation and good standing by misrepresenting a product.

I work in hardened electrical distribution substations and we use Meanwell power supplies for very sensitive equipment. Just because it’s Chinese doesn’t mean it isn’t quality.

Since the buyer is new to the hobby, they might as well get used to seeing Chinese made power supplies since they are used on every single piece of equipment they’ll need. Even $1000 power heads have them.
