I just bought one used today. It works great. But I’m having trouble with EcoSmart live.
From what I’ve read it sounds like I should be able to connect without a reeflink. But I would only be able to control flow, not different modes. Can anyone confirm this?
I have factory reset it. But ecosmart wont even load the device page for me.

I had an m1 and I'm almost certain you need a reeflink to connect to it. I have a reeflink for sale now as the m1 was the only reason I was using the reeflink.

Yup, reeflink required AFAIK.

Well dang. This is the only eco tech product I own so a reeflink isn’t really worth it to me for now.

It was worth it to me to be able to know that the m1 was running while away from home. Now that I have an apex I can set an alert if my watts drop below 5 plus I changed over to a Cor.

You don’t need ESL to run it. You can set it from the black controller buttons. It won’t automatically switch modes, but will cycle variable flow via the mode you choose (if that’s your goal).

With just the M1, I wouldn't bother with ESL.
As ca1ore said just use the provided controller.

Unless you have a closed loop. You don’t need any other modes except to turn down to feed if you choose. I have had a m1 now m2 and all other gear so I have a Reeflink but don’t use it really for the return pump
