So my tank is rounding about 1 year old and I am wanting to remove the sand and attempt transitioning to bare bottom, so I am wanting to get a little insight on the transition.
I've been doing my research and have been understanding possibility of phosphate and ammonia spikes, as well if I understand correctly I understand that if you have a low nutrient tank it can crash your tank. I have a Peninsula and want to push more flow through the tank and don't have any sand dwellers in my tank with my wrasse on its way out as soon as he goes into his trap...
My biggest battle here is that my tank has a crazy aiptasia outbreak and they seem to be in the sand. so I am assuming in this venture it is going to get worse before it gets better.
Can anyone give my some what to expect and how to treat scenarios as I am going into this.
